As an important part of drill string, drill collar can supply the drill bit and increase the rigidity of drill string. Drill collar are manufactured strictly according to API Spec7-1 standard with material of AISI 4145 Mod. We supply slick drill collars, spiral drill collars, etc. The size of drill collar we can provide is from 3.1/8 to 11 inches. We can also provide other drill collars at customers’ specific request.

1. API connections – All API connections (regular, NC, H90, and PAC) comply with dimensional requirements specified in API Spec.
2. Phosphate coating – All connections are phosphate-coated to improve resistance to galling.
3. Stress relief features – API pin stress relief groove and API box boreback decrease the frequency of fatigue failures.
4. Cold rolling – Drill collar thread roots are cold-rolled. Cold rolling creates a compressive stress condition that increases fatigue life by minimizing crack initiation.
