DTH Drill Bits Classification
DTH Drill Bits can be divided into the following three types according to their appearance:

Flat type: suitable for drilling hard rock layers and highly corrosive rock layers under high wind pressure.
2
Convex type: suitable for drilling soft to medium hard rocks with medium to low wind pressure, with fast drilling speed.
3
Concave type: suitable for all rock layers, especially in medium hard rocks, with good drilling straightness and slag removal effect.
Carbide Button Designs
SEMI-BALLISTIC
A combination design that provides a speed increase over the conventional domed button and higher longevity than the more-aggressive ballistic carbide design.
DOME
Tough shape for hard, abrasive rock and deep-hole drilling. Suitable for nearly all rock drilling applications.
BALLISTIC
Ideal for less-abrasive sedimentary deposits where speed is vital. Not recommended for badly broken ground or extremely hard rock.
